UX-DESIGN

In my UX design process, I prioritize a user-centered approach through user studies and usability testing. By conducting interviews and observations, I gather insights into user behavior that inform my designs. Through iterative testing and feedback, I ensure that the final product meets user needs and enhances overall satisfaction.

Project information

This project led to my final examination in Digital Design B.A. The course aimed to develop a larger design project over a period of 400 hours. Together with a classmate, we began discussing the topic of Type 1 diabetes. The project was iterative, meaning we explored many different areas and approaches before deciding on our final direction. Ultimately, we chose to focus on a diabetes platform with integrated AI to personalize diabetes care, make it more accessible, and offer the possibility of digital healthcare. The service is intended to support diabetics in managing the disease in their everyday lives, functioning as a ”one-stop shop” where everything they need is gathered. Our goal is to make the complex easy to understand.

To investigate the needs of the target group, we interviewed patients, diabetes specialists, and medical technology engineers. These different perspectives provided valuable insights into the challenges and needs within the field, which significantly benefited the concept. The caregiver’s point of view can differ greatly from the patient’s, but by listening to diverse perspectives, we aimed to create a comprehensive care platform that meets various needs.

The project resulted in a high-fidelity digital prototype that offers a clear representation of what the final product could look like.

The following images from the process reflect only a small part of the project. We conducted several interviews, performed environmental analysis, and ran user tests. As mentioned, the process was iterative, so the images should not be viewed in chronological order, as the process went through several cycles.
